Are you a homecare service provider who feels unconfident about keeping your data secure?

We understand that data security can be intimidating for those who don’t feel digitally confident. But rest assured, you don’t need to be an expert – and you are not alone. As part of the Better Security, Better Care programme, we are here to provide all the advice and support you need to successfully complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT). We can address all of your concerns and help you navigate data security successfully.

The DSPT is a valuable self-assessment tool that has been created to help you improve your data protection capabilities. With our expert support you will build confidence as you work through it.

It’s important to recognise that the care system has changed significantly over the past few years, and it’s crucial for you to equip yourself with the tools to ensure data protection within your organisation. The good news is that you probably already have policies and procedures in place that protect your client, staff and partner data – so you don’t have to start from scratch. We can advise you on any changes you need to make to bring them up to date with existing data protection requirements. But don’t worry if you don’t have all the policies and procedures you need – you can adapt our existing templates.

The DSPT covers all the issues you need to consider when it comes to cyber security and data protection, eliminating the need for additional research.

Contrary to popular belief, with our help, completing the DSPT is easier than you might think. You can approach it one question at a time, at your own pace, and your Better Security, Better Care Local Support Organisation’s are social care experts and will always be right there with you to offer free tailored support and resources, no matter your starting point.

By embracing the DSPT, you unlock valuable benefits, such as accessing funding opportunities, evidencing compliance with regulatory requirements, and gaining access to crucial healthcare information. You can safeguard your organisation against cyber threats, ensure legal compliance, and prepare for the future of digital care.

Remember, you don’t have to be the expert—we are here to assist you every step of the way. Join us and let’s strengthen your data security together for the benefit of your clients, staff, and your organisation’s reputation.
