The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) helps adult social care providers in England to check and improve how they keep people’s information safe. It is the official self-assessment tool for the care sector and is widely recognised by CQC, local authorities and the NHS.
This guide explains the benefits of having the DSPT in place and how to complete the assessment at least once a year.
DSPT DEADLINE
If you’re almost there with your DSPT but just missed the deadline of 30 June, KEEP GOING! We can help you with the final touches.
If you’re a large care group with multiple services that use the same policies and procedures, please check that you have included all the relevant services or branches in your DSPT publication. If you haven’t, they will not be listed as having a DSPT in place.
