Data Protection Policy – Template

This is a template Data Protection Policy which you can download and adapt for your own organisation.

It is an overarching policy for data security and protection. Its purpose is to support the 10 Data Security Standards, the General Data Protection Regulation (2016), the Data Protection Act (2018), the common law duty of confidentiality and all other relevant national legislation.

Care providers must have a Data Protection Policy in place in order to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
