Smart Phone Policy BYOD – Template

Some organisations allow staff to use their own smart phone for work purposes rather than supply them with a separate work-only device. Such an approach has been termed BYOD or ‘Bring Your Own Device’.

This is a Smart Phone Policy – BYOD which you can download and adapt for your organisation.

It covers the safe use of personal smart phones used by our staff for work-related purposes.

If you permit your staff to do this, you must have a policy in place that covers this in order to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
